KEN BROWN

Ken is Northampton County’s Director of Court Services. He is the second African American to hold a cabinet position within the history of Northampton County. Ken also holds the office of Vice Mayor, an appointment made by Easton’s Mayor and Council Members. He is a former Vice President and President for the Easton Area School District’s School Board. Prior to his appointment, he served as Executive Director of Senior Housing for Shiloh Manor, an affordable senior housing facility in Easton. However, he considers being a part of Easton Area High School’s Wall of Fame for track and field as one of his proudest accomplishments.

Ken attended East Stroudsburg University. He is currently affiliated with the NAACP. He is also a Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association, Inc. (PIAA) and New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) basketball official.

Ken enjoys walking and running. Family is very important to him and he loves doing special things for his wife, children, and grandchildren. He is proud that all of his children are college graduates and three of them have obtained advanced degrees.

Being in local government has given Ken the opportunity to have a voice for the African American community. He sees ACCE as a new opportunity to “sit at the table” where decisions are being made that will directly affect the community.
